I don't live near Seattle or Portland, how much will it cost for you to shoot my wedding?
We will travel to (almost) anywhere! So first realize that there is no hard fast rule about how much it will cost, in general we will ask that you pay for our accomodations while travelling. Steve is an experienced traveler and keeps costs low by staying only in modest hotels. If air travel is involved, we will try to book our flights as far in advance as possible to guarantee the lowest cost. Your prices are higher than other photographers I've talked to. Will you match their prices?
We cannot match prices. We put a great deal of thought into how we charge for our offerings, and feel that they are competitive for everything that you get. There are many factors that go into wedding photography pricing. The wedding photographer is also a landscape photographer, a portrait artist, an organizer, a digital imaging expert, an album designer, a negotiator, a travel planner and an all around connoisseur of fine arts. Our prices reflect our commitment to the craft of photography and digital imaging, and to delivering the best images and highest quality albums available.
How long will it take to get our pictures back.
You can expect to see a set of proof prints and your images online in about 1-2 weeks. All albums take anywhere from 3-6 weeks from the date of your order.
What will we do about pictures if it rains?
Awww, are you afraid of a little bit of rain? >8-) We will scout nearby locations and the interiors of the church or reception area, if possible days in advance, to determine the best place for your pictures to be taken. We will always bring adequate lighting to deal with difficult interiors.
Do you shoot film or digital?
I will shoot with charcoal or crayon if you want me to. My passion is about capturing memorable images that will tell the story of your day for future generations. Right now I shoot almost entirely digital. Depending on location and time of year, I may use some medium format or panoramic film cameras without any additional charge. Please ask us about shooting your wedding with film if that's what you have your heart set on.
